The School of Architecture, Planning and Geomatics at UCT enjoys a strong reputation in terms of teaching and research. The undergraduate BAS (Bachelor of Architectural Studies) programme feeds postgraduate degree programmes in Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture and City and Regional Planning.
This is a permanent teaching position in the postgraduate Architecture programmes. Applicants must hold a professional degree in Architecture and should have relevant teaching and/or professional practice experience, and/or postgraduate qualifications. The demonstrated abilities to initiate and conduct research and to translate this into peer-reviewed outputs will be viewed favourably.
The appointee will be required to teach studio and coursework and to handle the administration and management of these courses. S/he will be required to contribute to curriculum development in the School. The appointee will also be required to undertake research and to produce recognised research outputs.
The position is offered as a permanent, full-time post and the level of appointment will be determined by the successful candidate’s teaching, research and/or professional practice experience.

- Senior Lecturer: R562 173
- Lecturer: R457 223
