We are seeking an inspirational individual to join our expanding Biomechanics team to contribute to helping to shaping the subject area and wider School going forward.  Our biomechanics laboratory and team has an international reputation for research and is housed in the new £30 million Science Centre.   

The post holder will be expected to take an active role in the undergraduate and post graduate delivery, to undertake enterprise activity and research. The successful candidate should complement our enthusiastic and friendly team.

An ability to make a significant contribution to the Staffordshire Graduate and employability agendas, as well as the widening participation and Further Education partnerships agendas would be very welcome.

Applications are sought from team-orientated, flexible individuals with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and presenting skills.  Applicants should have a first degree in Biomechanics or a related area and be close to completing a PhD.

Varied and recent experience of teaching and assessing in HE (including the supervision of research projects and placements) is essential, as is the demonstration of engagement with scholarship and/or research. Experience of course or module leadership and development are also essential for this role, with evidence of ’third stream’ income generating activity being highly desirable.

An enhanced DBS (formerley CRB) clearance is required.
