The post is based in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management which is a leader in its field and is in the top two UK Universities for Travel, Transport and Tourism (The Guardian University Guide, 2012). The Department is located on both the Belfast and Coleraine campuses. At the Coleraine campus, where the post is located, the Department specialises in travel, tourism, leisure and events management. The postholder will engage in teaching, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and will contribute to the research, academic enterprise and administrative activities of the Department. The postholder must have expert knowledge of current topics and trends in tourism and travel in both applied and theoretical contexts. Preference may be given to applicants with research outputs eligible for inclusion in REF 2014, possibly as an early career researcher.
The salary scale for posts at the level of Lecturer is £32,285 to £45,967.
All posts are available from 1 September 2013 or as soon possible thereafter.
