The International Office at Coventry University requires several International Officers to support the recruitment of students to the University.

You will work as part of a regional team, focused on either Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas or the Far East with extensive overseas travel; approx 20 weeks a year and on average 2 weeks at any one time. The successful candidate will be market manager for their assigned countries and required to undertake recruitment missions and manage a wide variety of channels including, agents, exhibitions, schools, colleges and universities as well as driving direct recruitment and, where appropriate, managing the University’s overseas offices. In addition, you will be market manager for your assigned countries and will be expected to develop an in-depth understanding of the market, position the University appropriately within markets, and ensure that the University’s engagement is coherent and supports our core propositions. The ability to develop strong relationships with both alumni and senior members of a wide variety of external organisations including business and government are essential.

International Officer
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, with experience in sales/marketing and account management. You will thrive on your commerciality, developing business plans and hitting your targets, in addition to spending long periods of time overseas.

Applicants must possess strong powers of self-motivation and initiative, especially when travelling alone overseas. You will come from the education sector or a commercial sales orientated business, and ideally you will have had exposure to an international remit. Excellent written and communication skills are a must, and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Additional languages are beneficial though not essential.
