The post holder will have responsibility for delivering the University’s planned maintenance programme of works together with client and centrally funded projects (ranging in value from £5k to £1million), all in accordance with the University’s policies and procedures.

You will be required to establish, develop and maintain all necessary design standards relating to your design discipline on behalf of the Division. The ability to plan and manage projects in a co-ordinated way to ensure Operational and Divisional objectives are met is essential.

You will also be required to take a technical lead as and when required on the delivery of maintenance activities relating to your discipline / area of expertise in support of the operational maintenance team, and to undertake design review and handover engagement on projects delivered via the Project Management Team to ensure that operational needs are fully considered.

You will be responsible for taking the lead and acting as the senior member of the Minor Works team in support of the Head of Operations, co-ordinating, mentoring and supervising when necessary your colleagues to ensure an integrated technical output and deputising for the Head of Operations as and when required.
