We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant or Post-Doctoral Research Assistant based within a specialised International Public Health team that are involved in an expanding portfolio of research and technical assistance on human resource planning, management and development.
The successful candidate will work with an international network of research and policy specialists, to develop, carry out and disseminate policy-relevant research in human resource management in the health sector in mid and low income countries. The successful candidate will provide support to a number of existing programmes (including ReBUILD and PERFORM), contribute to the expansion of the HR research portfolio and you will benefit from direction and encouragement to develop your own research interests and capacity within the context of the role and department.
This post will require proven experience and expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with applied research skills relevant to human resource planning and management, demonstrating skills and knowledge in interpreting and analysing data and producing research reports. There will be some opportunity to carry out technical assistance work if appropriate so it would be advantageous if you are able to demonstrate relevant skills in this area of work also.
Good communication skills and the ability to be self-motivated and work as an integral and co-operative member of a multi-disciplinary research team are essential.
