£37,776 - £45,118 per annum

A suitably qualified and experienced person is required to teach Design and Technology (food and textiles) to trainee teachers across the age range and to lead the Secondary PGCE route in Food and Textiles, working with schools to support these trainees on placement. In addition the successful candidate will contribute to the PGCE Secondary team of tutors.
The highly successful School of Education works in partnership with a wide range of schools, colleges and Early Years settings in the West Midlands and you will liaise closely with them.
You will have experience of working as a teacher and mentor, as well as having had successful experience providing professional training for colleagues. A first degree in Food or Textiles Technology or a related discipline is required QTS is essential and a higher degree preferred for this vacancy.
There will be opportunities for you to develop your own teaching and pedagogic facility as well as engaging in research.
