This is an exciting opportunity to join a substantial team of staff dedicated to Anatomy teaching, shortly to be headed up by a new lead in Anatomy, Professor Simon Parson. A focus of the role will be for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical, dental and science education. You should have experience in all aspects of Anatomy and in particular how it underpins healthcare education. Your research programme should complement research priorities within the Schools of Medicine and Dentistry or Medical Sciences or one of their research institutes. Applications will be considered from non-clinical and clinical candidates. An appropriate successful applicant would be nominated by the University as a Licensed Teacher of Anatomy and then carry out the day to day requirements of that role.
Based at Foresterhill, the site of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the University’s Medical and Dental schools, health sciences and medical sciences research facilities, you will have good opportunities for working with both clinical colleagues and medical scientists. Excellent facilities are available for Anatomy teaching within the Suttie Centre for Teaching and Learning in Healthcare. Top quality laboratory accommodation is available within the Institute of Medical Sciences and, for health services research, within the Health Sciences Building. For line management purposes, you will join the Division of Medical and Dental Education that comprises a wide group of enthusiastic, well organised and high quality staff.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 scale (£37,382 -£44,607 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
