Events and Publications Officer

This is a pivotal role within Academic Services to deliver a positive and attractive image of the University to all enquirers and applicants for courses. Open days are an important element in the student recruitment process and you will lead in the organisation, delivery, enhancement and development of these events and other external recruitment fairs and exhibitions. The role also supports the wider work of the department in delivering key University events such as graduation and registration. You will be the focal point in co-ordinating the production, collation and presentation of key information to prospective students and will take the lead for the delivery of the University Prospectus.
You will be degree educated, ideally professionally qualified in a marketing or similar discipline and/or with experience in a postgraduate higher education student recruitment context. You should have excellent communication, interpersonal and proven event management skills teamed with experience of delivering projects to tight timescales. Most of all, you will have a strong customer focus and a thorough and methodical approach to your work relying on well-developed problem solving skills.

Hours of work: 37 hours per week
Contract type: Fixed term contract
Fixed Term Period: Up to 1 year (Maternity cover)
Salary: £22,349 to £24,913 per annum
