The Department of Psychology offers high quality degree programmes and conducts highly influential research in Cognitive Psychology; Neuropsychology; and Health, Organisational and Counselling Psychology.
City's Health Psychology professionally-focused and innovative programmes are designed for students looking to start or develop careers in health care and provide students with the skills they need. Uniquely, they are provided by both academics and health psychology practitioners and give students the opportunity to translate research and theory into practice.
The Department is seeking to appoint to a Lectureship an outstanding academic in the field of health psychology.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have research publications likely to be assessed as world-leading or internationally-excellent in the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework and will demonstrate the ability to educate and supervise at undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral levels. He or she will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the rapidly changing health care context and the ability and commitment to ensure students develop both academic and practical skills.
