Full Time: The appointment will be on UCL Grade 6. The salary range will be £26,186 - £30,688 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICS), UCL and Great Ormond Street Hospital are working with the the Yale University School of Medicine, USA - Paediatrics/Cardiology and Genetics, (PCGC) a newly-established NHLBI-funded multi-centre study aimed at discovering the genetic cause of congenital heart disease.
The PCGC aims to recruit and follow up to 10,000 patients with congenital heart disease. The Research Nurse will be the primary interface between the project Principal Investigators (PIs) at ICS, and between the Yale PCGC. He/she will assist in developing the congenital heart disease database, and will spearhead patient recruitment at ICS.
The post is funded to 31st July 2013.
The postholder must be a NMC Registered Nurse with previous experience as a band 5 or above nurse in a paediatric or cardiac role. Previous involvement in a clinical research project is essential. He/she must have worked in a high throughput environment.
