Salary range: starting at £30,424 and rising to £36,298 per annum. It is normal to appoint at the first point of the salary scale.          

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic information professional, with demonstrable experience of providing support to researchers within an HE environment.

Reporting to the Academic Services Manager, this exciting new role will lead on coordinating and developing the University Library’s services and resources for the researcher community, including support for Open Access publishing and research data management.

The post-holder will work closely with other colleagues within Academic Services and other University units to develop and deliver training to researchers, and will lead on support for the institutional repository in collaboration with colleagues in Technical Development and Technical Services.

It is essential you have a degree or equivalent qualification in librarianship or information science. You will also have successfully managed staff and projects, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy working as a member of a team in a busy environment. You must able to take initiative, be well organised and have a proven ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines. A familiarity with the current UK research environment is also essential.
