HYMS / HONEI Project

Two Posts

These two year posts, funded by Humber Obesity Nutrition, Education and Innovation (HONEI), University of Hull, will be in the Centre for Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research, Hull York Medical School. It will provide an opportunity for candidates who wish to pursue a career in Diabetes and Endocrinology to undertake a research project leading to a higher degree. Clinical and laboratory based research can be accommodated.

These posts offer research opportunities within metabolic studies in cardiovascular risk in obesity, diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome and other insulin resistant states together with clinical trials of novel dietary and pharmacology interventions. You will be encouraged to engage in and foster multidisciplinary research into the lifestyle and environmental effects on these cardiometabolic conditions.

Degree qualified, you will hold an MBBS qualification and be GMC registered and ideally qualified to MRCP(UK) standards. Your passion for patient health will mean you inspire all around you, and your compassion, enthusiasm and creativity are balanced with strong communication skills.
