PhD with extensive experience in research management and project and programme management across multiple disciplines. Expertise in knowledge transfer, project monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management.

Extensive experience with an in-depth knowledge of:
- The pursuit of research in a university environment
- Research funding and advocacy
- Knowledge of university research systems
- Business development
- Commercialisation of research results
- Knowledge of strategies and policies of major regional/international donors
- Public/Private/University partnerships for knowledge creation and transfer
Main Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and management of the ORDKT
- Oversee Campus management and administrative systems; project management systems; accountabilities and risk management systems
- Reinforce existing strategic partnerships/relationships – and develop new ones as required – with the local, regional and international private and public sectors to identify and implement projects that respond to their needs
- Improve the capacity across all academic units for research development and knowledge transfer through information, education, training and development
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with relevant funding bodies
- Strengthen and oversee Industry Liaison function to develop synergies between business and the research strengths of the UWI
- Oversee the creation and management of teams of academic and non-academic specialists to design and execute special projects including consultancies

- Ability to work effectively with academic and senior administrative staff on major projects across the University
- Ability to build successful relationships with senior management in the national, regional and international public and private sectors
- Outstanding representational skills
- Strong communication, presentation and team-building skills
