This is an up to eighteen months industrial project funded by TSB/BBSRC, involving the use of synthetic biology techniques to generate recombinant micro-organisms capable of synthesising high value polysaccharides. You must have, or expect shortly to obtain, a PhD. Experience in the genetic modification of micro-organisms is essential. Experience in synthetic biology techniques, and/or the analysis of microbial polysaccharides, is highly desirable
Salary: UE07 £30,424 - £36,298 per annum
