£16,540 - £17,503 per annum depending on skills and experience. 

Applications are invited for the above post based at the University of Nottingham.  This BBSRC/DFID/DBT funded project under the BBSRC SCPRID initiative will transfer genetic variation to wheat from ancestral species (for an explanation of the programme please refer to the following web page http://www.wheatisp.org). The resulting material will be analysed at Nottingham and also by our collaborative partners in Australia and India.

Candidates should have two A’Levels in relevant subjects, or equivalent plus some relevant technical/scientific experience or considerable work experience in a relevant technical or scientific role and also have an interest in plant science. The position involves growth and maintenance of plants in glasshouses, seed curation, routine molecular biology procedures and daily maintenance of the laboratory.

This full-time post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for four years.
