Fixed-term for a maximum of 4 years, or until award of CCT plus a 6 month period of grace, whichever is reached soonest.
£31,301 to £54,199 per annum
The Norwich Medical School at UEA is pleased to offer a NIHR-sponsored Clinical Lectureship in Medical Microbiology/Virology, which will hold an honorary appointment for clinical training with the Department of Medical Microbiology/Virology at the NNUH. The post is part of the Medical Microbiology/Virology East of England Deanery Training Programme, and is a recognised training post registered by the Royal College of Pathologists.
This Clinical Lecturer post will provide the successful candidate with training towards their accreditation in Medical Microbiology/Virology and promote an academic research career by contributing and developing excellence in research and teaching alongside clinical and diagnostic skills. The postholder will spend 50% of their time undertaking research and teaching and 50% in clinical training.
Applications are invited from specialist trainees at ST3 level or above who have already completed, or are currently submitting, a higher research degree (PhD/MD or equivalent), and can demonstrate potential for development as a Clinical Academic.
