We’re looking for a motivated, proactive manager with excellent communication skills who can meet the challenge of leading and inspiring a busy Student Lets team. Based at our Paragon site in Brentford, you will manage our fantastic Student Accommodation service in all day to day matters and associated site services. Your duties will be wide ranging and will include everything from building management, tenancy administration, health and safety, customer relations, right through to the development of student social activities.

Working on our Student Lets site in Brentford, your commitment to achieving high standards independently will mean that you’re comfortable operating with minimum supervision, confident in making decisions and liaising with a range of people, departments, contractors and organisations. You’ll need to have experience of staff management, and have strong organisational abilities in addition to budget management skills. Above everything, you’ll be passionate about providing a first class customer service.

Our student accommodation business is expanding so this is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within this exciting sector. You’ll need some related experience, in either student accommodation, property or housing management, facilities management, or in the hospitality sector.

In this role you’ll work 35 hours per week, and normally this will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. However, you’ll sometimes need to be flexible to work to reflect the hours that our service is available to students (8am to 6pm) by starting earlier or later in the day (e.g. 8am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm). In addition, there will be occasional need to work in the evenings, and at weekends to assist students moving in and out of the accommodation over the summer period. Finally, as the Accommodation Manager, you’ll support your team by being on call to deal with any emergency situations that may arise.

*First stage – short listed candidates will complete a competency based interview and technical test. This stage is likely to take place in the week commencing 13 May 2013.
*Second stage – candidates selected will complete a management role play scenario
