A Pharmacy Teaching Technician is required to support the exciting new pharmacy course starting in September 2013 within the College of Medical and Dental Sciences.
The post is part of a team of technical staff providing support for the College’s practical laboratory teaching commitments. The post holder will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day set-up and preparation of materials required within the pharmacy teaching laboratories as well as helping and assisting students during practical sessions. They will also assist other team members when required within the Medical School main teaching laboratories. The successful candidate will have good organisational skills, be able to work under pressure to strict timelines and exhibit flexibility in approach. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate Good Chemical and Microbiological Practice including aseptic techniques, preferably have experience of life sciences/microbiology/pharmacy or chemistry and have experience of Apple OS X and windows based operating systems in addition to basic skills in word/excel.
