About the role:
The Department of Education at Anglia Ruskin University is one of the largest providers of initial teacher training in the East of England with campuses in the cities of Chelmsford, Cambridge and Peterborough. We are committed to achieving excellence in education and research and you would join a well qualified, enthusiastic and friendly team and contribute to teaching on post graduate courses in both primary and secondary initial teacher education.
You will be expected to lead on Computer Science/ICT in ITT and contribute to curriculum development, track trainee progression to inform appropriate teaching and support in Universities and schools. You will work with colleagues to deliver the induction programme, interviews for future trainees, provide tutorial support which includes performance and pastoral meetings and work collaboratively with our partner schools observing and structuring trainee and partnership development.
We are looking for a qualified teacher with considerable recent experience of teaching in primary and/or secondary schools. Qualified to PhD level or nearing completion,, you will have excellent subject knowledge in Computer Science/ICT and an understanding of key issues. You will also have experience of working at HE level. You will be enthusiastic to engage in research and to assist us in developing our research profile, supported by our research institutes and an active departmental research community. You will also contribute to our ambitious plans to develop our international portfolio.
