Senior Lecturer (H5) £50,895 - £55,399 per annum incl. London Allowance
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law in the Brunel Law School. The successful candidate should have teaching and research interests in areas of Intellectual Property Law. This appointment is being made to consolidate further the school’s strong research and teaching profile.
The appointed person will be expected to contribute to teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and would be required to teach at least one of the ‘core’ subjects at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate must have a strong research and publication record and will be able to demonstrate coherent future research plans, as well as the potential for obtaining external funding.
Brunel Law School achieved excellent results in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) with 90% of our research rated as being of international quality, and 50% of our research rated as either world-leading or internationally excellent (in terms of originality, significance and rigour). Once again, we submitted 100% of our academic staff for the 2008RAE, as we did in the 2001 RAE where we were awarded 5A. We therefore continue to demonstrate that all our staff are excellent scholars and that every one of them produces work of a very high standard. These results confirm Brunel Law School’s status as one of the UK’s leading research intensive law schools.
The position is tenable from the 1st September 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
