We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Scientist to join our Food Chemistry team. Working with the Chemistry Research Manager and Team Leader Food Chemistry, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of non-routine chemicalanalysis and research projects. Responsibilities will also include providing technical support and advice to the more junior members of the team.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level in chemistry or a related subject, and ideally have several years’ experience in a laboratory environment with detailed knowledge of chemical analysis of foods and food components. Expertise in HPLC and a working knowledge of LC-MS is essential; an understanding of GC and GC-MS would also be desirable. You will have excellent team working and prioritisation skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
