Based at Leahurst in the Wirral within easy access to the livestock farms of Cheshire, North Wales and Lancashire, the post will involve teaching undergraduates clinical and population level farm animal medicine and herd health planning. Teaching will primarily be via small group teaching during the Fourth and Final years with some didactic teaching in earlier years of the undergraduate course. You will also contribute to postgraduate teaching and knowledge exchange with the opportunity to develop research and/or clinical interests. Exact duties will depend on the successful applicant's interest and experience. You will partake in OOH duties within the Farm Animal Practice.
Registration as MRCVS is essential together with extensive experience in progressive farm animal practice. A PhD and/or a relevant postgraduate qualification e.g. DipECBHM, DipECPHM, DBR, RCVS Specialist status etc. with relevant prior experience in teaching is desirable.
