We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate in clinical psychology, initially on a 12 month contract, to work on an MRC funded treatment development study of new web based intervention for parenting in bipolar disorder. This post is based in the Spectrum Centre for Mental Health Research which has a wide portfolio of externally funded translational research into bipolar disorder and related conditions. You will be supervised by Spectrum Director, Professor Steven Jones and will join a thriving team of clinicians, researchers and service users. 

This role will involve recruitment, assessment and follow-up of parents with bipolar disorder as well as involvement in a range of others aspects of the research as required including data entry and analysis.

You must have a good degree in a psychology (or relevant discipline) and ideally a postgraduate psychology qualification as well as experience consistent with the post you are applying for. You will have experience in working with people with mental health problems and a good understanding of quantitative research designs and methods.

We are looking for an energetic dynamic, self-directed and committed individual with an interest in translational research into bipolar disorder.

This post is a fixed term appointment for 12 months and is likely to commence on 1 June 2013.
