The CSC Genomics Laboratory (http://www.csc.mrc.ac.uk/Research/Facilities/) provides state-of-the-art facilities for high throughput genomics research for investigators at the CSC and Imperial College using conventional (ABI 3730) and next generation sequencing (Illumina HiSeq2500 and MiSeq) and microarray (Affymetrix and Agilent) technologies.

This tenured position is for a Bioinformatician specialised in high throughput genomics data analysis to facilitate the work of various research groups in the CSC using next generation sequencing and microarray technologies. You will perform bioinformatics analysis of Illumina sequencing data and will provide support to research groups working on the genomic and epigenetic control of gene expression to investigate the genetic basis of common human diseases.

You will have an MSc in bioinformatics with good programming skills and proven experience in genome analysis and microarray data analysis. Previous experience in analysis of Illumina high throughput sequencing data would be an advantage. Excellent communication skills and the ability to support and train researchers with genomics data analysis is essential.

You will work alongside another Bioinformatician in the Genomics Laboratory and will be part of a growing Computational Biology community at the CSC.
