HNR conducts nutrition research and surveillance to improve the health of the population with a focus on obesity and metabolic risk, musculoskeletal health, intestinal health and nutritional inequalities.
We are seeking to appoint an Investigator Scientist in the Diet & Obesity Research Group, led by Dr Susan Jebb. You will work within a team of scientists focussed on epidemiological research on diet and obesity, determinants of dietary intake and the development of novel methods for analysing these relationships.
You will be responsible developing research, carrying out agreed analysis of existing datasets, preparing manuscripts for publication and contributing to external funding applications. You will be expected to contribute to the wider scientific programme of the department through active participation in journal clubs, science discussion groups, and the training and development of junior staff and PhD students.
This is a full time, open ended position, line managed by Dr Gina Ambrosini. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. In addition to your salary we offer a flexible pay and reward policy, 30 days annual leave, free on site car parking and optional membership of MRC’s final salary pension scheme.
