We are delighted to invite applications for two new roles in the subject area of computer science,
one for Senior Lecturer (1.0 fte) and the other Lecturer (0.6fte).
We have taken the strategic decision to situate the subject within the Faculty of Arts in order to reflect current and emerging industry practice and to maximise the synergies with the well-established creative disciplines such as Design, Fine arts, music animation and film production.
It is clear from recent developments in the creative industries that computer experts are a key component in the production of films, music, design products and fine art pieces. We feel that studying computer science in the context of an Arts Faculty will provide students with a strong mix of skills and experiences as they enter the job market
We are seeking motivated individuals who recognise and wish to explore and exploit the synergies with the creative disciplines whilst maintaining a strong core of computer science.
You should have a good, relevant first degree or equivalent and have or be nearing completion of a higher degree (Masters or PhD) or equivalent professional qualification/experience, with successful relevant teaching experience.
