This post is an opportunity to join a leading Dynamics research group within one of the top Engineering faculties in the UK. The research project, funded by the EPSRC, is concerned with the development of novel methods to consider population-based structural health monitoring (SHM). In particular, the project will investigate development of population-based machine learning algorithms for SHM and their experimental validation.
We are looking for an outstanding person with an interest and expertise in machine learning, structural health monitoring and experimental structural dynamics. Applicants should possess a first class honours degree in Civil/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering /Computer Science/Mathematics or other relevant discipline (or equivalent experience). Applicants should also have a PhD in a relevant discipline or be currently close to completing one (or equivalent experience).
