The University of Manchester seeks to appoint a 10-month Lecturer (Teaching Focused) in Roman History, tenable from 1 September 2013 to 30 June 2014. This position is designed to cover teaching, administrative, and related duties especially, although not exclusively, in Roman History.
The principal duties of the appointee will be to teach, assess and administer course-units in Roman History, and to supervise dissertations and long essays at undergraduate level. An ability to teach Latin language, at least at elementary level, is essential; an ability to teach Latin language at advanced levelis desirable; an ability to teach either Greek History or Greek language will be an advantage.
