£13,839 - £15,303 per annum, depending on skills & experience
The University of Nottingham is one of the UK’s leading research universities. Two trainee technician posts in animal technology are now available within a busy bio-support facility.
The successful candidates will work within a team of technicians responsible for providing standards of care and welfare for animals involved in essential scientific research programmes. The maintenance of essential hygiene standards will form part of the work. Candidates should have a minimum of four GCSEs at Grades A to C or equivalent in English, mathematics, biology and/or science. Continued education and appropriate training will be provided.
Hours of work are 36.25, Monday to Friday inclusive. Weekend and Bank Holiday working is required on a rota basis. These posts will be offered on a fixed-term contract for one year.
Standard vetting procedures will be required.
