Professorship in Service Innovation

The Department of Communication, Business and Information Technologies at Roskilde University, Denmark, invites applications for a position as Full Professor in Service Innovation to be filled by the 1st of January 2014 or sooner, if possible.
We are interested in applicants with expertise in the scientific area of Service Innovation to maintain and develop the department’s international scientific stronghold within this research area. The applicant appointed will be expected to join the research group Innovation in Service and Experience, which is a prioritized research area at the Department (http://www.ruc.dk/en/departments/department-of-communication-business-and-information-technologies/research/innovation-in-services-and-experiences/)
The applicants must have international research qualifications at the professorial level, and be able to document experience with research management and ability to attract external funding, be able to teach and supervise students within the overall area of Business Studies at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels, with a particular emphasis on innovation and social entrepreneurship, have an extensive international scientific and educational network, have a command of Danish (or Swedish/Norwegian) that is sufficient to teach and supervise effortlessly in Danish, and to participate in administrative and collegial activities. Applicants, who do not master Danish at the present moment, will be expected to acquire a sufficient level within 2-3 years, have a command of English that is sufficient to undertake teaching and supervision obligations at our international study programs.
Appointment as professor requires a broad foundation in theory and research within the field and documented scientific production at international level as well as qualifications and skills to undertake professional leadership responsibilities. Applicants should also be able to contribute actively to the continuous development of the department’s educational and research environment. It is an advantage if you have experiences from interdisciplinary work at university level, but it is not a requirement.
Appointment
Appointment as professor takes place in accordance with an agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The position is to be filled by the 1st of January 2014 or sooner, if possible.
