Plymouth University Peninsula School of Medicine wishes to recruit an experienced researcher to play an important role as part of a team of researchers on this cutting edge study.
This post is key to ensuring the successful delivery of a prestigious NIHR programme grant awarded to develop and evaluate a complex intervention for prison leavers with common mental health problems. We have 30 months funding to develop the intervention and science to support an RCT; a further 30 months funding is contingent on demonstrating that an RCT, or other appropriate form of trial, is viable.
You will carry out a Realist Review and work on the development of the intervention using mixed methods and will contribute to analysis and dissemination.
You will have experience in applied qualitative methods and also knowledge of mental health or offender health research or related subject. You will have a first degree in health services research or related subject as well as a PhD (or be nearing completion.) Applicants will be able to write to a high standard.
