We have a strong record in applied research in the academic and industrial sectors. Our research areas include the development of novel energy harvesting transduces, power management, low power consumption wireless sensing nodes, and their integration for applications to high-value manufacturing industrial sectors.
Your research and development activity will be dedicated to the development of innovative energy harvesting transducers to power wireless sensing systems. You will work closely with the academic and industrial partners of the projects, aimed at progressing the technology from laboratory to industrial applications.
You should have one of the following research experiences in the areas of:
- design, modelling and simulation, prototyping, and testing of piezoelectric and electromagnetic transducers
- manufacturing of multifunctional composite materials
- design and implement of low power consumption wireless communication sensing systems
You should, at least, have a PhD degree, or equivalent, in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, advanced composite material manufacturing, low power wireless communication engineering, or a related subject. Experience is desired in Matlab, ANSYS and Labview programming, and electronic conditioning circuit for the above area (1), or design and implementation of low power consumption wireless sensing system with C++ programming for the above area (3), together with peer reviewed journal publications.
