The School of Teacher Development is building its team to take it forward through the current period of change in higher education in general and teacher education in particular. To emerge as a strong and successful part of that new configuration, TD needs tutors with intelligence, experience, vision, flexibility, resilience and commitment.

Teaching mainly across primary postgraduate and undergraduate initial teacher education programmes, the three new appointees will contribute to the maintenance and development of our provision that is currently rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. We are particularly looking for lecturers with curriculum strengths in English and Literacy Education, Physical Education, Science Education or Education in the Early Years to complement the strengths of our existing team, although we would consider other areas instead.
