The School of Teacher Development is building its team to take it forward through the current period of change in higher education in general and teacher education in particular. To emerge as a strong and successful part of that new configuration, TD needs tutors with intelligence, experience, vision, flexibility, resilience and commitment.

BGU has a substantial, workplace-focused, flexible professional development framework which includes accreditation at levels 4 to 7 for those in the education workforce. It also acts as the regional hub for the Teaching and Learning Academy (TLA) providing recognition and stepping stones to more substantial professional development activities. We are looking for a lecturer to make a significant contribution to teaching on and developing these programmes and, if suitably qualified and experienced, supervise students on our professional doctorate programme. We are particularly looking for a lecturer with specialist strengths in the areas of school improvement, leadership and management or education policy to complement the strengths of the existing team, but other strengths will be considered.
