The Royal College of Art is the world’s most influential institution of university status devoted to the study of art, design, humanities and communication and has an international reputation for excellence in teaching, practice and research. The Global Innovation Design programme (GID) is a two year double masters, run jointly between the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London, which collaborates with Keio University in Japan and the Pratt Institute in the U.S.A.
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Tutor, working a minimum of three days a week (more days may be available for a candidate with the potential for funded academic research) to work closely with the Head of Programme to develop and deliver the two year MA/MSc programme for GID.
You will either be a practioning designer with exemplary commercial experience and teaching experience in Higher Education or you will be a senior academic in Higher Education who also has experience of commercial design practise. Well-developed communication, organisational and management skills are absolutely essential. We are looking for a highly dedicated individual to help take this exciting new Masters programme forward.
