Nescot is a forward-looking College of Further & Higher Education that serves a large area of South East England with a wide range of vocational and academic courses, both full and part time. The College is situated in Ewell, close to Epsom in Surrey, and is located in the green belt near Epsom Downs. The college was inspected in September 2010; all areas were graded ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’.
At Nescot we want to help the learner succeed in their ambitions. Our students value our welcoming, friendly and caring atmosphere. Our lively learning community helps to make the most of their learning experience at the College.
Nescot Teacher Education Department is dynamic and growth focused. Whilst specialising in post compulsory teacher education, we also have a substantial provision for training teaching assistants for secondary, primary and special educational needs school.
As a result of growing number of students and new provisions we are seeking to appoint qualified and experienced practitioners who are passionate about teaching in learning in the Lifelong Learning Sector. Together with relevant experience, a minimum qualification of a Degree in a relevant subject area and PGCE/Certificate in Education or equivalent is required for this role. You will have to show evidence of continued professional development and a sound knowledge of current Government legislation and priorities. A proven track record in curriculum development such as programme validation and delivery at HE level is essential.
As part of our drive to make teacher training inclusive and diversified in NESCOT, we are trying to pool as many talents from different subject areas as possible to join the existing teacher training team in training the next generation of teachers. We need practitioners who can teach PTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE, BA Education Studies and Foundation Degree Education Support.
Applications would be welcomed from qualified and experienced existing teachers who have genuine interest in promoting high quality of teaching and learning across the education sector.
