Are you a talented fundraiser of major and trust/foundation gifts? Do you believe in education as a powerful force for improving lives?
As our Major Gifts Officer, you will raise gifts and pledges for the IOE in the range of £1,000 to £100,000 principally through face-to-face fundraising and approaches to trusts/foundations. Part of a small and successful team, you will focus on fundraising for established campaigns such as scholarships and subject-related projects, and also on fundraising for all aspects of the IOE’s work such as student support, project funding and infrastructure. You will manage a portfolio of prospects, building their engagement, asking them for support and stewarding their gifts.
You will have a credible and demonstrable track record in major gift fundraising from individuals, trusts/foundations or other sources. You will have experience in prospect identification, research, tracking, solicitation and stewardship, as well as of working with high net worth individuals, top management or senior members of staff. You will understand the special context of the IOE: its potential donors and its case for support, and factors affecting education in the UK. Your proposal writing and interpersonal skills will be excellent.
