The Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies is seeking a Lecturer in Latin American Politics and Society, commencing in September 2013.
The successful candidate will have a first degree in a relevant subject and will have completed a doctorate in Latin American Studies or a related field. S/he will have a track record in publishing high quality research in the field of Latin American Politics and Society as well as attracting external funding.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for teaching across a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate units, including Latin American politics, history and culture. Since the majority of the teaching will be through the medium of Spanish, a high level of competence and fluency in the language is essential.
