The British University in Dubai (BUiD) a vibrant, diverse and not-for-profit university was established by a Royal Decree in May 2003. It is the Middle East region's first, research based, postgraduate University. The energetic academic research environment is organised into three Faculties: Business, Education, Engineering and Information Technology. The programmes are taught in association with University of Reading, King’s College London, the University of Manchester, the University of Birmingham, University of Edinburgh, and Cardiff University, and it offers cutting edge education and research in key disciplines. BUiD now has over 500 postgraduate students on 13 masters and three doctoral programmes, all of which are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. BUiD’s Faculty of Business offers Masters programmes in Construction Management, Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Finance and Banking and a Doctoral programme in Project Management.

As part of its on-going success and growth, the Faculty now wishes to strengthen the team with an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic academic who is committed to providing students with an enriching learning experience. The selected candidate must have a strong international academic record in aspects of Construction Management and will also demonstrate the ability to provide management and direction within a tertiary environment.

Applicants must have a PhD with a proven track record of teaching Construction Management at postgraduate level and preferably at doctorate level. He/she must also have a good record of research publication with the ability to develop internal and external research collaborations. Experience of securing funding from diverse research sponsoring bodies is desirable.
