The School of Geography & Archaeology invites applications for the above post, which arises from the creation of a job-share arrangement within Geography. We welcome applications from Human Geographers, particularly from colleagues with interests in Social Geographies, or closely related fields, and a demonstrable interest in contributing to the School’s field-based research and teaching practices. An active research profile and PhD along with appropriate teaching experience are essential for the post, while pedagogic innovation in creatively engaging students in active learning and a commitment to relevant, collaborative research practices are all desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to teach, design courses and supervise students from first year BA to PhD level, be involved in field classes and administration and contribute to the research activities of Discipline, School and University. All members of staff in the School are involved in diverse research activities, many of which are supported by a wide range of funding agencies, ranging from the EU, national, regional and local bodies.

Salary:  €62,059 p.a. to €81,431 p.a. pro rata

(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer (FT) scale in line with current Government pay policy)
