The role of Customer Services Advisor, therefore, plays a key part in delivering and building on this aspect of the University’s strategy.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service Advisor to join our Career Destinations team, to support the delivery of our programme of employability activities in a rapidly changing environment. As the Service’s first point of contact by phone, email and in person for students, employers and other stakeholders, your role will be as an ambassador for the service, ensuring that all customers are taken care of appropriately and that a strong business image is projected.
Working in one of the largest Professional Services departments in the University you will be responsible for providing information to University of Southampton students and customers in all aspects of the Career Destinations offering, you will also be responsible for maintaining the resource library centre and our website; ensuring literature is up to date and readily available.
You will possess excellent customer service and time management skills, have a strong attention to detail combined with superior organisation and communication skills (both written and verbal). A good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude are essential.

The successful candidate would be required to work a rota pattern between 9:30am and 6pm with occasional late finishes and/or early starts at peak times
