We are looking to strengthen our team with the appointment of a new Academic Development Manager, with specialist responsibility for Partnerships and Business Development and the development of Ravensbourne’s Fashion provision.
Salary: £53,819 p.a. + benefits, based in SE London
Reflecting strategic investment in a major curriculum area of strength, the role holder will take responsibility for the operational management and oversight of a new cluster of Fashion courses, including the line management of the cluster’s subject leaders and the development of Ravensbourne’s digitally facing fashion portfolio. He/she will also take the academic lead, in conjunction with the International Office, on the development of partnerships and business development, focusing on opportunities in the areas of Ravensbourne’s strengths, e.g. learning design, training, consultancy and applied research, in a local London context and also nationally and internationally.
The role holder will lead academic implementation of the institution’s Marketing and Communication Strategy and emerging International Strategy. Additionally, he/she will facilitate the development of innovative approaches to the recruitment of a diverse student population, supporting in particular the institution’s Social Mobility Strategy. Collaborating with the three other Academic Development Managers, the post holder will support the implementation of the institution’s student-centred learning and teaching strategy. Ravensbourne places particular emphasis on learning innovation e.g. user-focused online learning tools and on supporting academics in the development of pedagogical research projects and the commercialisation of academic assets.
In line with the person specification outlined in the job description, we are looking for candidates who have strong academic and management skills and also the ability to provide strategic leadership in the areas identified.
