Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position, under the supervision of Dr Vitaliy Khutoryanskiy (http://www.pharmacy.rdg.ac.uk/staff/khutoryanskiy/), to develop novel materials that mimic the adhesive properties of biological tissues. This post, funded by the Leverhulme Trust, is available from 1st June 2013 for 36 months.
You will have:
- PhD in polymer chemistry, formulation science, pharmacy or other relevant discipline
- A track record of publications in high impact journals
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Laboratory experience in the synthesis and characterisation of polymers
- Good knowledge of surface characterisation techniques
- Good understanding of pharmaceutics and drug delivery
