We aim to recruit a motivated research associate to join a new Molecular Haematology group at the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine. The project involves the identification and characterisation of regulators of normal and leukaemic stem cell functions.

Candidates who are close to the completion of their PhD training and are looking for the first postdoctoral position are particularly encouraged to apply. The postholder should have a minimum of 3 years research experience in the stem cell biology/haematology or related field. Strong background in leukaemia biology, mouse genetics, and haematology is essential. The appointee will have experience in stem cell assays, knockout mouse characterisation and molecular and cell biology techniques. Home Office Personal Licence or Module 1-4 training is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently are also crucial.

This full-time post funded by the CRUK Senior Cancer Research Fellowship is available for 30 months in the first instance (subject to satisfactory probation period) with a possible extension for another 36 months.
