HNR conducts nutrition research and surveillance to improve the health of the population with a focus on obesity and metabolic risk, musculoskeletal health, intestinal health and nutritional inequalities.
We are looking for a pro-active and organised assistant who can work both independently and as part of a team to join our Diet and Obesity Research programme. You will have a dual role; to provide general and personal administration for the research department, groups and teams with diary management and travel coordination as well as preparing high level presentations for external audiences. Alongside this, the role will act as a member of the Communications Team, assisting with communications activities, handling media enquiries, and organising external events.
As an experienced assistant/administrator you should have an interest in nutrition, able to work using initiative and with competing priorities, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and good attention to detail.
This is a full time, open ended position. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience. In addition to your salary we offer a flexible pay and reward policy, 30 days annual leave, free on site car parking and optional membership of MRC’s final salary pension scheme.
