Lecturer in Accounting and Finance/ Head of Bachelors degree programmes

WestLondonCollege is an Associate Campus of Heriot-Watt University (ranked No 9 in the UK) and is conveniently located in modern buildings close to Bond Street underground station in Central London. The College offers degree programmes under licence from HWU, at both bachelors and masters degree level, in a well established partnership that dates back to 1993

The College seeks an experienced lecturer in Accounting and/or Finance who would be attracted to a senior management role that would incorporate some teaching but would be primarily concerned with the course leadership of four business-related bachelor’s degree programmes, in Business Administration, Business and Finance, Hospitality and Tourism Management and Business and Information Technology, all of which contain elements of accounting and finance. The responsibility would be for approximately fifty teaching staff and several hundred students.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of course delivery and management in a UK higher education environment, the ability, energy and enthusiasm to be able to lead from the front, and the vision and ambition to make a substantial contribution to the future development of the College.

It is envisaged that in the first semester, commencing early August, the role will be mainly teaching, with some management involvement but minimal supervisory responsibility. The balance will gradually shift throughout the first twelve months towards a more managerial role in preparation for the take over of the above degree programmes in July 2014.
