Applications are invited for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Parasitology. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and expanding infectious diseases research community, and to take a leading role in developing the discipline of parasitology by forging collaborative opportunities within the Department and the wider University (particularly the parasitology research groups in the Department of Pathology), and with other institutes locally, nationally and internationally.

Candidates must hold membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) or a degree in veterinary medicine recognised by the RCVS making them eligible for membership. Membership of the European Veterinary Parasitology College, or equivalent, is desirable. A PhD or doctoral level degree in the discipline is essential.

Candidates should be research active; have a proven track record in published research in parasites of veterinary importance supported through competitive funding; and have experience of diagnostic service functions. Experience in educating undergraduate and post-graduate students in parasitology is desirable.

This appointment is subject to a health assessment. Whether an outcome is satisfactory will be determined by the University.
