The Blavatnik School of Government requires a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to the development of the School's international research profile.
Launched in 2010 with a £75 million donation to Oxford by American philanthropist Leonard Blavatnik, the School's mission is to contribute to better government, stronger communities, and richer human opportunities across the world.
The postholder will be part of a lively and intellectually stimulating research community which performs to the highest international levels in research and publications. You will have access to the excellent research facilities which Oxford offers and will benefit from career development opportunities through some limited teaching and supervision responsibilities.
You will have a doctorate in comparative public policy (or a closely related field) and evidence of ability to undertake applied research on comparative public policy that has the potential to have impact on public policy and practice. You will have evidence of developing a track record of internationally excellent publications in highly ranked, peer reviewed academic journals.
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow is intended to be an early career independent researcher and will work closely with senior faculty, under the overall direction of the Dean of the School. The start date of the post will be no later than 30 September 2013 and is a 3 year fixed-term contract. A relocation package and research allowance of £1,500 p.a. is available.
