International Student Adviser

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join our Student Advisor Team to deliver outstanding customer service to BPP students, with specific responsibility for providing essential immigration advice and guidance to international students.

Responsibilities will include providing both a reactive and proactive approach to supporting international students, offering assistance and advice regarding general immigration, student extensions and entry clearance.  In addition, providing information on non-academic queries including university policies, funding, health and welfare and accommodation.  The successful candidate will also help develop effective processes to obtain up-to-date information from other departments and act as a referral point for staff with international student support queries.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of providing immigration advice and managing casework independently with the ability to operate to OISC Level 2.  They will also have a demonstrable commitment to customer service.  We are seeking an individual who has experience of dealing with people from a range of cultural backgrounds and who has the ability to demonstrate initiative and use analytical skills in order to resolve problems.  They should also have excellent organisational and time management skills. 

Evening and weekend shifts will be required, as will travel to other sites.
